Editorial Policy

How we create, verify and publish content at The Untold Layers.

Last updated: August 15, 2026

At The Untold Layers, editorial integrity is the foundation of everything we publish. This policy outlines our standards for content creation, sourcing, accuracy and responsibility.

1. Originality

All articles published on The Untold Layers are original content. We do not republish content from other sources without clear attribution and permission. Every article must bring a unique perspective, voice or angle to the topic.

2. Accuracy and Sourcing

For research-based articles (labeled 🔬 Explained), we rely on credible, verifiable sources including:

  • Peer-reviewed studies and academic research
  • Official health, government and institutional reports
  • Reputable journalism and established media outlets
  • Expert interviews and firsthand professional perspectives

Sources are cited within the article where relevant. For topics related to health, science or finance, we always encourage readers to seek professional advice.

3. Editorial Independence

Our editorial decisions are made independently of our advertising and commercial relationships. Advertisers do not influence which topics we cover, how we cover them, or what conclusions we reach.

Any sponsored or paid content will always be clearly labeled as "Sponsored" or "Paid Partnership" and will be visually distinct from our editorial articles.

4. Personal Stories and Contributor Content

Articles labeled ✍️ Personal Story are based on the contributor's own real experience. Contributors are responsible for the accuracy and authenticity of their personal accounts. The Untold Layers editors review all submissions for clarity, appropriateness and alignment with our editorial values.

5. Corrections Policy

We are committed to accuracy. If a factual error is identified in any published article, we will correct it promptly. Corrections are clearly noted within the article with a correction notice and the date of update.

To report an error or inaccuracy, contact us at: contact@theuntoldlayers.com

6. Responsible Communication

For sensitive topics — including mental health, medical conditions, financial decisions and social issues — we follow responsible communication guidelines. This means:

  • We do not provide medical, legal or financial advice
  • We recommend professional guidance where appropriate
  • We handle sensitive topics with care, empathy and respect
  • We present multiple perspectives when covering complex issues

7. Diversity and Inclusion

The Untold Layers is committed to representing diverse voices, experiences and perspectives. We actively welcome contributors from different backgrounds, cultures and communities. We do not publish content that promotes discrimination, hate speech or harmful stereotypes.
